WE DON'T AGREE TO ISODEG's LEADER

We the Youth don't agree with the leader of ISODEG.

How can you say that parents should no more invest in their wards education, because there are no jobs? Even after apprenticeship, one needs to open his understanding in his field through education (formal, non-formal, informal).

NABCO and YEA are just short term Social Intervention projects or programmes to mitigate the harsh economic conditions facing the teaming Youth.

Just like other countries in the world do, including India.

Why would opposition parties and Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) only name the problems but not provide us with solutions?

*MOMO FRAUD: A FOUR MONTH NURSING MOTHER THREATENS SUICIDE AFTER FRAUDSTERS OUTWITTED HER*

A 4 month nursing mother, Abigail Baidoo, 30, threatens to commit suicide to end it all after Momo fraudsters outwitted her to a tune of GH¢ 1,400.00 a month ago.

Narrating her story, madam Abigail said on July 11, 2020, she received a call from an unknown person, purported to have deposited money is in her (madam Abigail) Momo account mistakenly and that, she should resend it to him. In just some few minutes, according to her, the alleged fraudster called again and said her Momo account has been blocked by MTN and that, only if she had paid GH¢ 1,400.00 to the alleged service provider that she could access her account again.

Madam Abigail said, upon hearing this, she rushed to a Momo vender to initiate the transaction with a number given to her by the caller purported to belong to an MTN officer. She said, however, that she finished the transaction before realising she had been outwitted in the process.

Madam Baidoo said she was immediately taken to the Devtraco Police Station by the merchant for interrogations, according to her.

The case has since been lodged at the Devtraco Police Station at Community 25 to ascertain the truth in the matter.

*PRESIDENT COMMISSIONS NANA ADDO DANKWA AKUFO-ADDO CENTRE FOR ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND INNOVATION AT DAWHENYA

*The President of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo, on Thursday morning,  commissioned Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo Centre for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Dawhenya in the Ningo-Prampram District of the Greater-Accra Region.*

The 192 bed capacity edifice which include classrooms, conference hall, etc and situated close to the 75 Greenhouse farms, will serve as a learning centre and hostel facility for the youth working on the farms.

In his address, the President said the farms will provide some 4,500 tones of tomatoes annually and will generate 11 million (GH¢ 11,000.000) revenue for the country with tens of thousands of Ghanaian youth already employed. He mentioned that some local shops and malls such as Shoprite, Farmers La Coute, and many more are already selling products from the farms, which he said is integral part of government's flagship "Planting for Food and Jobs" programme.

The President urged the Ministry of Business Development, to continue to  collaborate effectively with the Agric Ministry, and the Ministry of Environment, Science Technology and Innovation, to ensure success of the venture.

COMMUNITY 25 "PEACE BE" RESIDENTS CRY FOUL OVER LACK OF DRAINAGE AND ROAD CONDITION

Residents of Tema Community 25 "Peace Be" in the Ningo-Prampram District of the Greater-Accra Region, are crying over lack of drainage system and road conditions. The residents raised these issues in what looks like a mini Association group because of social distancing last Wednesday.

According to the group, the road which links the community to other areas of the District is unmotorable with too many potholes, which makes life uncomfortable. The residents said, because the road was not constructed, there was no drainage system and this has created sanitation problems, including absence of a public toilet to serve the community.

Petty traders in the community complained about how the road conditions and absence of  drainage system were affecting their businesses. They also took the opportunity to plead for at least, a public basic school.

According to the Chairperson of the Association, Mr. Lance Montia, the Assembly has been positive about their concerns but called for immediate action to be taken to save the residents from the unbearable conditions in which they find themselves. He however alleged that the Assembly see the community as afterthought, saying, the Assembly does not involve them in decisions that affect them. Mr. Montia said the Association members always complain to him about drainage and sanitation situations which are worrisome.

In another vein, the Chairperson called for  a Police post to be situated in the community to ward off armed robbery and related cases.

Notice

*NOTICE
MY CONCERN AND FEAR OVER IRAN-AMERICA TENSION*

Let's be cautious about comments regarding the tension between America and Iran.

Apart from the effects on the world market, fear of retaliation cannot be overlooked in other countries, where America's presence is felt, including it's over 1000 military bases in the world.

America is not a friend to many.

 *Let's analyse*
I will say, for now, that it's only Israel as powerful nation in terms of weapons, which will support America, apart from the North Atlantic Treaty Organization  (NATO)

This means that it is possible some powerful weapon making and weapon controlled, non-American friendly nations, such as Russia, China, Saudi Arabia,  maybe Japan, North Korea, the Holy Land/Canaan (Palestine) etc, will support Iran to fight America, and this could be too much for relatively, the world's-powerful.

However, America will not suffer alone but other countries like Iraq, Yemen, Venezuela. Not forgetting levels of effects it will have on many African countries and Ghana is not left off the hook. Although, Russia has already pledged a $ 12 billion investment to Africa in rivalry to America, if the tension continues will be a source of great worry to us.

We must be wise with our comments in relation to the issue, and if possible, desist from commenting.

United Nations (UN-somewhat controlled by America) is being strategic by keeping mute on the matter.

We must be security conscious in our country at the height of this tension, to report anything worth suspecting for immediate action and prevention.
